What is a Triquetra?
A triquetra (tri KEH truh), also called the "Trinity Knot" is a Celtic symbol representing the power of 3. It is sometimes associated with different religions (Paganism, Wicca, Christianity). I, however, do not ascribe to any particular religion. I call myself a "recovering Evangelical."
I use the triquetra symbol to represent Body, Mind, and Spirit as well as the 3 tiers of tarot. In her book, 78 Degrees of Wisdom, Rachel Pollack describes the 3 tiers this way:
Conscious: Everyday life
Subconscious: Self-awareness
Superconscious: Confrontation and unity with the great forces of life
